About

EV Everywhere is a movement we “feel good” about becoming a leader in. We are tired of just sitting here and waiting for big auto to offer an affordable electric car. Currently several Chinese battery car manufacturers are entering the US marketplace with complete DOT vehicles for around $20,000 before tax credits (around 12K after credit) source.

We are taking it upon ourselves to convert existing cars using off the shelf parts and recycled or glider cars available right now or to build cars that can fit into the lives of the average family with today’s technology.

I am just a regular 40-year-old dude with a family that wants to get off gas.

We don’t travel much anymore except for my long commute 90 miles average round trip 5 days a week. I am looking to build or convert a commuter vehicle to electric that is light weight and has a long-range with a budget under $10,000 using top quality parts. We will also need a mid size car or small SUV budget $15,000 that can hold 5 people. This will be a more luxurious car with all of the creature comforts and a 30 mile range will do since it’s just driven around town.

While I love the idea of becoming an all-electric family I am thinking we will need at least one vehicle that is plugin hybrid or fossil fuel powered to make long trips where we would not have time to charge at scheduled stops. It is possible to add diesel or LP gas hybrid technology to some battery electric vehicles. Some have even experimented with generator trailers to temporarily add hybrid long range ability to an all electric car or SUV.

Please help us support the EV Everywhere movement.  Share you experience and resources.
